If you hold bitcoin in an account on centralized exchange, then yes, it's quite easy to seize with "click of a button" like with any other bank account.
If you have your own keys, then it's harder to seize - government has to point a gun at you asking for your keys. This is similar to cash. If you further establish solid privacy, anonymity and don't stand out, then it's even harder to seize.
Yes, many people won't try learning how to use bitcoin properly and may get burnt. With Bitcoin every user holds the responsibility for their bitcoin. That's how it is. This does not reduce on the value that Bitcoin provides.
Bitcoin gives us couple years of freedom before everyone is required to have a brain implant with direct link to the government mainframe...
