It looks to me that "greedy" was just a bad word thrown around so the top could program the bottom to "want less" and "if you want more, you're a bad person".

There's nothing wrong in greediness per se. It is just our survival instincts telling us to store as much as possible given the uncertainty nature of the future. When coercion isn't part of the equation, people are driven to do commerce with each other and have an healthy competitive society, where work is rewarded and lazy parasites are pushed out.

I'm glad we have bitcoin, that embraces our animal instincts and feeds that back into the economy as something with value for everyone else.
