Opening an LN channel with funds from another wallet

Issue: Open a channel on an LN node by funding it from from someone else's wallet. Let's say an individual were willing to do this transaction for me from their wallet in exchange for cash. I hand them cash and they would fund a channel the equivalent value between me and someone else. How could I do this without first sending the funds to open the channel from their wallet to the one on my node?

PSBTs is the answer. You open new channel with your LN node, node gives destination address and amount, other party builds transaction that sends sats to that address and gives you PSBT. Very important that other party does not broadcast transaction to the network, just give you PSBT. Then you provide that PSBT to your node.

For CLN see fundchannel_start and fundchannel_complete.

Thank you! I've certainly used BOS for batch opens, but never quite figured out the external wallet procedures. If there was a video or step-by-step doing it from Sparrow post-mix it would be fit for the gods!
