Probably has more to do with Twitter or your nostr client. In Amethyst I see reasonable previews.

Yes, they have the OpenGraph tags in the header so it should work. Seems to work when I've tried it as well. Those tags look like:

This is the only kind of embedding that makes sense I think for a discussion site.
