why in this case cryptocurrency is dependent on country/govts if it meant to be censorship resistant technology.

You see, when your company scrip (or cryptocurrency as you call it) has a foundation that can be brought to court, its not exactly as censorship resistant as advertised now is it? lol

Only tyrants are stupid enough to think they can stop it.
And when they try, everyone else gains by their absence and thus has an economic (and thus military) advantage. Imagine the disagreement between bordering countries about it. If china comes out hard against Bitcoin, it is in the interest of USA and India to accept it. And vice versa. There is no certainty about the final state, the game is one they can't win.
