Does "Import Keystore" = "Import xPub"? What else is there to a Keystore?
reply
Are you using Sparrow? IIRC, keystore can also mean a hardware wallet.
reply
Yes this is regarding sparrow. Just curious about the terminology, why they dont say "Import Xpub" etc?

The developer of Apollo client announced it will close down on June 30, I did not know it got that bad:
Then yesterday, moderators told me they were on a call with CEO Steve Huffman (spez), and he said the following per their transcript:
Steve: "Apollo threatened us, said they’ll “make it easy” if Reddit gave them $10 million." Steve: "This guy behind the scenes is coercing us. He's threatening us."
Wow. Because my memory is that you didn't take it as a threat, and you even apologized profusely when you admitted you misheard it.
I believe spez handled all this really bad.

Altcoins were doomed from the beginning; most will not survive the upcoming depression. But because the SEC feels the need to get involved, many people will blame the SEC for the altcoin crash.

Was browsing through my Plex library recently, and noticed a large chunk of my titles are still compressed using h.264. So this week I'm slowly converting them all to h.265.
Also, just got a good look at myself in a full length mirror. I'll be looking up workout routines later today.

Slow improvement every day is the best way to success
reply
i was in the middle of doing the same when rarbg shut down. i hadn't realized how dependent i had become on that site, their h265 rips were my go-to. end of an era
reply
There are backups of the magnet links if you search for them online.
reply
Oh, man - I didn't know it shut down! I did just discover my local library has an extensive blu-ray collection, so that may have to be a substitute for now.
reply
As someone who has pretty much only been gaining weight the last 5 years "catching" my appearance in a mirror or photo is the worst.

Last week I recommended two nostr clients: Coracle and Primal.
This week Coracle sent two of my replies to the void and Primal only connects to its cache relay so I can't like, post, follow, etc.
Taking a look at the console logs of all these clients it's a huge pile of errors, too many random websocket connection failures.
Definitely the bazaar software approach.

Steak prices are insane these days
reply
Depending on where you are in the world, there are two cheap ways to acquire steaks ime:
  1. from a local producer in bulk
  2. weekly beef sales as loss leaders at supermarkets
    • e.g. in CA, Safeway/Albertsons every 6 weeks or so would have Choice Ribeye at $5.99/lb (on coupon) and we'd buy several uncut ribeye whole sides that were still in the packaging from the suppliers (meat departments didn't seem to mind it)
reply
Also steak specials at the local pub sometimes are even cheaper or similar price than buying the raw steak from the supermarket. Specially good value for a single person.
Assuming you don't buy any alcohol, that's probably the best deal. The moment you buy one glass you're way off :)
