He made some solid points - I especially appreciated the view that if you think that Bitcoin will make every single thing better, then you are dangerously wrong. That's just not possible to happen in a complex interconnected world. Thinking that Bitcoin will make every single thing better is comparable to thinking that you can have a fully centrally planned economy...
A lot of people were saying that Peterson still doesn't understand Bitcoin if he holds this view. Maybe he doesn't understand it yet. How many of us do? But I agree that his point that there will be unintended consequences from this technology is very good one.
I think that everything has a cost, be it an opportunity cost or a cost you pay up front or later. Bitcoin is no different. The genie is out of the bottle. So now we'll see if the benefits of Bitcoin is worth the costs. I have a good feeling that it is.
