having so many options (on chain legacy, on chain segwit, lightning bolt 11, lightning addresses). its a pain in the ass for the newcomers.
Salvadorians are doing the best they can with the actual unfinished UX.

Well, it's a good example of what to expect in the future. Most people want sound money (or at least they will when you explain that it's possible), but they don't give two shits about how it works. Which is fine - unlike some bitcoiners, I'd argue that money that works without you caring about it is superior.
