Don't take this the wrong way, if you were to ask me, my preference would be that every show starts with a low battery condition.
Why? Because 30 minutes is the right length -- I listened to the entire episode (whereas when it is 45 minutes, I tend to skip forward often and probably miss half of it, including some of the good stuff).
