It seems like nearly every normie I’ve ever known, including all of the ones working in finance for decades, have never experienced the feeling of hoping for or even just being more-than-ok with a pullback in the market. The process of accumulating bitcoin while learning more and more about it along the way has amplified feelings like that for me.
Even my normie friends who openly admire Warren Buffett, believe his style of seeking long term value plays is the only strategy a sensible person should ever consider, and are all competent in identifying undervalued companies, they still just seem to be gambling & profit-seeking when it comes down to it. The very same normies will let out a casual yet snooty sounding laugh at the idea that bitcoin is even a halfway sensible idea to consider. The good news is that I’ve noticed this laughter has been sounding more and more uncomfortable lately.
Who here knows a normie that gets somewhat excited when the market declines, while at the same time not showing any interest in hearing about Bitcoin whatsoever?
A roundabout way to begin the orange pilling of a person could be saying things like “this is great, are you going to buy more?” whenever the market is down any day / to reinforce longer term thinking from a more value based point of view. Maybe this would feel less abusive to your typical normie than getting right into the meat and potatoes of the overall Bitcoin thesis
