Since beginning your own journey getting involved with financial markets, investing, trading, etc., what have you learned along the way that's improved your life?
One of the things I've come to understand from markets is the fundamental importance of investment. Markets provide a tangible, mathematical lens to show how long-term, consistent investment in something can bring outsized returns.
It reframed how I view all aspects of life, like relationships, working out, skill building, etc. Invest your energy in what you want to see grow.
That's also why I like to think of money as the purest, most tangible form of energy there is.
What I learned is the power of compounding...

One of the most important lessons for people who do lots of research and try to understand things at a fundamental level, is the saying
"Markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent."
Like your example, this insight has broader application to any situation where you aren't completely in control and other people are involved.
