I’ve made sunlight exposure a part of my daily routine. Making sure I’m outside at least 30 minutes to an hour a day, preferably in the morning.
On weekends that number goes way up.
I have Vit D supplements I take occasionally if needed, but they’re more for during the winter.
I committed to writing everyday and I've logged 465 days of writing because of Bitcoin. This year I also committed running at least 40 miles every month and so far 6/6 and have every intention to make it 12/12. Bitcoin taught me low time preference because when I get older I'd like to enjoy my increased purchasing power :)

Quit smoking, to pay for more BTC. Getting more exercise, meditating, cold plunging.
And most importantly, stopped pump chasing on shitcoins like dogederivative or copycatknockoff inu or musknuts or whatever.

Embrace Time and bitcoin as limited resources

So, I don't want to waste my time worrying about devaluation or how take care my work because they're paying me with something that doesn't have future.

2. Priorities

Bitcoin teach us about priorities, it is essential to identify what truly matters. By defining your values, goals, and aspirations, you can align your activities accordingly. Take the time to introspect and evaluate the areas of your life that bring genuine joy, fulfillment, and growth. By focusing on these priorities, you can direct your time and energy towards activities that contribute meaningfully to your overall well-being.

3. Just...say 'no'

One of the most significant challenges in utilizing our time and bitcoins effectively is the fear of missing out or the desire to please others. Learning to say 'no' graciously, when a request or opportunity doesn't align with your priorities, is an essential skill to cultivate. By doing so, you free yourself from the burden of unnecessary commitments and create space for more meaningful endeavors. Also, you save your money and won't waste in shitcoinery.

4. Distractions at minimum:

In today's digital age, distractions are abundant and incessant. Social media, mindless internet browsing, fake entertainment can easily consume substantial portions of our time. As a task, we have to regain control over our time. Allocate specific periods for focused work, engage in activities that nourish your mind and body, and rediscover the beauty of uninterrupted moments.

5. Investing in yourself

Yes, yes..I know. This is something not quite particular but time spent on personal growth and self-care is never wasted. Prioritizing activities that enhance your well-being, such as exercise, hobbies, reading, or learning new skills, not only enriches your life but also equips you with the tools for further success. By investing in yourself, you become better equipped to contribute to others and create a positive impact in the world.
Time and bitcoin are precious commodities, and each passing moment presents an opportunity for growth and fulfillment. By consciously choosing how we invest our time and bitcoins, we can avoid the pitfalls of aimless busyness and focus on what truly matters. Embrace the limited nature of time, identify your priorities, minimize distractions, and cultivate mindfulness.

How does that work in practice for you?

Not worrying too much about the day to day news has been great.
Not using mainstream systems like Microsoft, Google or Apple has decreased a lot of ad exposure.
It feels calmer.

Being skeptical, questioning authority and being much, much more open minded that I used to.
Thinking with a long term mindset and acting accordingly.
Being optimistic and hopeful.

For me my new/renewed habits have :
  • Focus on exercise
  • Learn to shoot and become comfortable with a gun
  • Do more outdoors (hiking and camping)
  • Improve sleep habits (biggest being finally using a CPAP for sleep apnea)
  • Eating better/fasting to lose weight
I still need to work on:
  • Putting the phone down (i've been better but can do much more)
  • Reading physical books vs audiobooks
  • Becoming more handy

Reading Stacker News everyday is probably the best habit I've developed as a Bitcoiner. I haven't been a Bitcoiner very long, so my other good habits are pre-Bitcoiner.

Diet and discipline, but in more than just the traditional sense of those words.
Diet: I eat healthier food after replacing most (if not all) junk food with better options, but I'm also on a much healthier media diet by replacing most (if not all) mainstream media with carefully self-curated newsfeeds.
Discipline: More specifically exercise discipline. Apart from re-starting regular physical exercise after years of neglect, bitcoin has taught me to also regularly exercise my critical thinking skills.

Lower time preference. Another way of referring to patience, delayed gratification. I was already more frugal in spending and had a fairly long term view in regards to priorities but bitcoin has made me more focused on thinking long term with knowledge, skills, and wealth.
The other big one is less focus on the political system as an avenue of fixing problems. Bitcoin / technology are the solutions. Show will always beat tell. If we build a better system and demonstrate its utility our chances are far greater of building a better world than trying to use ideology and politics to convince the masses.
