Zapping a post or comment by clicking the Lightning bolt next to it not only sends sats to the creator of the post or comment, it can also influence the ranking of that post or comment, and raise your trust score.

If you don't agree with the order that posts are ranked on the main page or the way that comments are ranked in a thread, the best thing you can do is to start zapping your favorite items to help those pieces of content get more visibility.
