You know what I'm talking about right? Just because you're orange-pilled, you're now supposed to:
  • eat ungodly amounts of beef
  • pray to jesus
  • sober up
  • avoid seed oils and sunscreen
  • rub lard on your face
  • only own BTC and shame others for having diversified portfolios
  • go to bitcoin meetups on the regular
  • make a pilgrimage to a conference
  • sell your chairs and live a minimalist lifestyle
  • buy 10 hardware wallets and bitcoin-themed art for your walls
  • brag about how many guns you have and how often you dump mags at the range
  • tell people they're short bitcoin
  • have conservative/libertarian views about everything
  • never vote in elections
  • believe everything is a government/WEF/CIA conspiracy
  • devote every hour to learning/building/educating/shilling bitcoin
I can think of a particular influencer who embodies each of these points, but at what point does Bitcoin become a lifestyle? If BTC is a lifestyle, is that good, bad or neutral?

The way you phrased this I find highly disingenuous. It is the same sort of language that shitcoiners use (I don't think you are a shitcoiner.)
The phrase "supposed to" is where it becomes deeply flawed. The overwhelming majority of bitcoiners who mention any sort of thing on your list would be rather unlikely to use that phrase (though I'm sure you could cherrypick example tweets).
Bitcoiners typically value personal responsibility. I may say XYZ action leads to a life that will be shorter, or devoid of meaning, but it is an absurd accusation to claim I am saying you are "supposed to" do one thing or another. Let's be honest, I don't care if you get hit by a bus tomorrow and you don't care if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, which is perfectly natural for strangers. So I CERTAINLY don't care if YOU get a bad sunburn, and cancer 5 years earlier after a life of guzzling seed oils, though I will frequently bring up seed oils (and I was talking about them before "it was cool among bitcoiners" [I have the "receipts"].)

I support the following of the above:
  • only own BTC (without shaming others for having diversified portfolios; I don't want to pump the price)
  • sell your chairs and live a minimalist lifestyle - sort of, yeah
  • tell people they're short bitcoin - they are; I don't always tell them though, unless they ask
  • have ancap views about everything
  • never vote in elections
  • believe everything is a government/WEF/CIA conspiracy - everything that comes from the government is a conspiracy to make people think it's for them and not to screw them over
  • devote [almost] every hour to learning about bitcoin

It just attracts critical thinking. People break down a world system, question it and form their own hypothesis and go from there.
There will be some overlap of course.
reply
Are there any qualities you admire that bitcoiners tend to share (in this list or not)?
reply
TBH I've been doing about a third of these before even getting into Bitcoin. They are more a result of critical thinking and/or personality type than anything else.
Some of your other points seem like they are more borrowed from American culture, namely guns and religion. This is far less common among European Bitcoiners in my experience.
So what I'm getting at is that many of these points might not have much to do with Bitcoin, although I agree that there is some degree of overlap among the influencer types.

Bitcoin should not be a lifestyle, but simply, normality.
What is normality? Don't Trust, Verify.
Check everything for yourself and live your life on your own terms, not by doing what others expect of you or want to impose on you.
In this respect, Bitcoin can't be a lifestyle, because all Bitcoiners can have very different lifestyles since everyone lives on their own terms. That's the point, anyway.
On the other hand, from time to time, commonalities emerge between Bitcoiners.
To name just one: a frugal lifestyle, because with Bitcoin you refocus on your real needs, and stop giving in to the consumer society that pushes you to buy things you don't need all the time.

Bitcoin is a tool, and is meant to be just a tool. That's it.

Wonderfully put. And I now have the thought of prehistoric hominids extolling the virtues of their Achulean hand axe telling everyone they meet they are short hand axes, should eat more meat and that dinosaurs were a conspiracy..

For me is: do your research, stack sats and STFU...lol You should try that sometimes... I'm beyond the point to care what others think. YMMV

Greetings from Latin America. This is patently a niche North American Internet culture take on Bitcoin life. It's indicative of how North Americans can't seem to cozy up to moderation. Everything is extreme, for better or worse. Fiat has created a continent of consumption and marketing: cultural whiplash that's accelerated by the Internet and grifts. People constantly trying to create brands. You're 100% spot-on, but the "nicheness" of it all can't be understated. It's important to bear in mind that these are the Bitcoiners who feel it necessary to be in front of the camera non-stop while the vast, vast majority of HODLers simply stack sats and quietly go about their lives.
The vast majority of the rest of the world watches this with fascination as they waffle and search for identity. Luckily Bitcoin is not a personality and quite literally is for everyone. As adoption increases, I imagine these niche North American extremes will fall by the wayside in visibility, especially the gun fanatic part.

You know what's funny about this to me is that I could make a list about gold bugs as well but it would be equally inaccurate. Sure these things are common among the current crop of bitcoiners but it makes total sense why that is the case. As common as the items on this list are I can't think of a single Bitcoiners that has all of them.
My question is, so what?
reply
No
Anyone can use it as they like. You could even live the ultimate fiat maximalist life by spending bitcoin when its due

I consider myself "orange pilled" but I only do about 3 or 4 of these things...
