I'm very interested in using a TAPSIGNER with Nunchuk. For those that have it how do you feel it functions as part of a multisig setup vs. more traditional hardware wallets?
Since it does not use seed words how are you backing it up as well as keeping a copy of the password safe?
I figure the password can be kept in a password manager but what about the backup which I believe is encrypted. Would that he safe in cloud storage?
Hoping this will become a great source of info for backing up and securing a TAPSIGNER.
I got my tapsigner and some satscards last week. I've only set it up single-sig on a small amount on my phone. Haven't done any backups yet.
My understanding is that as long as the password is secure, you can store the backup wherever. Unless someone has physical access to your tapsigner, which has the decryption password printed on it. See the "Evil Maid" section here.
