Under the current environment it is hard to imagine the Democratic Party allowing RFK to win the nomination.
Positive he is raising this as a position and forcing other politicians to take a position on.

Yeah it looks to me like a new round of Ron Paul type pedagogy and not really politics.

Not really politics? We don’t need anymore politics then

I mean, Ron Paul was really just spending his money and what was donated to him on helping people learn about Austrian Economics and hard money etc etc. RFK might help bring a lot of people to Bitcoin, same as I turned Austrian due to Ron via Alex Jones and Luke Rudowski.
RFK has zero chance, he has less clout than Trump did in 2016. But if he orange pills the people... I mean, it has to be said that 9/11 had a part in how Satoshi came to be building Bitcoin. Ron Paul also railing against the endless war machine and bring the troops home.
Bring it on.
We aren't the target audience, but he will swell our ranks.

I was talking to a friend who is not really into Bitcoin but follows general politics somewhat and he had literally never heard of RFK. It is an interesting situation.

My advice: Don't get hyped up on this.
When Kennedy, after not getting the ticket in the "primaries", tells you to vote for pedo Joe because the other candidate is racist, just like Bernie did (no refunds) the pain will be less severe.
Bitcoin does not need permission from the government. Freedom will not come from going to the voting booth. I don't want the elites to somehow arrange themselves with Bitcoin. I want it them and everybody else to know that Bitcoin is explicitly used without their permission so that we can leave the illusion of them having real power for good.

As a Bitcoiner, the more times the word and/or logo are shown on mainstream media, the better. Everything else is stupid. Everyone knows that politicians are representatives of the lobby, not the People. RFK and Ron Paul and this kind are tourists in the theatre show. They don't shut them out of this stage to make everyone think it's not already pre-agreed which oligarch is going to get the "role" for the next 4 years of the Spectacle.

I'm not American
Just wondering what the chances are of RFK actually getting in?
He's got to get past Biden, Trump, De Santis right?

He's got to get the Democratic nomination since he's running as a democrat. The chances of this are nil, because the Democratic party apparatus is ruthlessly efficient in putting down anyone who doesn't serve the interests of the moneyed elite.
If he magically gets the Democratic nomination, then he would have to go up against the Republican nominee. Most likely Trump or DeSantis. Against these two I actually think he would have a good shot.

So if he ran as an independent he would also have no chance?

Conventional wisdom is that independents have no chance. But it's a self-reinforcing logic that says independents have no chance because few vote for them, and few vote for them because they have no chance.

IMO, RIP USA after the "election" that put the Big Guy in power.
Anyone who thinks there is going to be an orderly out to this mess is deluded. History is replete with examples of the same power dynamic in the last phases of an empire.
I bet if you dig into the more obscure parts of the history of Rome you discover that roman soldiers also were turned into a clown show just like the USA has done. And the attempts of sane nobility to try and halt the deccline in politics going nowhere.
If I was over there, I'd be looking at getting a patch in the appelachia or other hillbilly dominated hilly and mountainous lands. Or head south to central america where some sanity seems to be dawning.

RFK is the Bernie Sanders of 2024. And the Dems will Bernie him out of the primary just the same.

I keep forgetting he's with team Blue. He's going to be the Democrats Ron Paul I think. Neither Sanders or Paul ever were real contenders for the appointment to Imperator. I mean president. And maybe the same deal on the other side for De Santis?

Agreed. DeSantis has no shot against Trump, but at least he will be given a shot in an actual democratic primary process, unlike the dems which have literally the opposite of a democratic primary process.

True but everyone knows Trump was friends with Epstein and Maxwell and that's the end of the story. DeSantis is not in the club Carlin joked about. The R is just the not quite so authoritarian party to put in when people are feeling squeezed too much.

Fake news, you are lying OP.
That is not what the word "plan" means.
It's not a plan, and not even a meme.
If you can precisely specify what is meant by partially backing the dollar with bitcoin I will zap you 100k sats.

If the government holds them then it's backing up the treasuries.
But we all know that's never gonna happen without the federal government being disbanded (or better, arrested, tried and executed).
