I'm slowly trying to set up an online presence and storefront for my woodworking business. I don't enjoy taking photos/videos of my stuff and build process, but it's something I need to do if I ever want to make any money at this.
I set up an Instagram for the first time this year, and it's got 72 followers, give or take, which I guess is a good start. (I was told that I needed Instagram in order to be considered for an art show I wanted to sell at) Not really enjoying the app, nor do I enjoy being involved with zuck in any way, but I guess I have no choice for now.
Anyway, Nostr seems to be right on time to rescue me from having to deal with insta forever. I've downloaded a couple android apps, Plebstr, Amethyst, and Iris (not tried that one yet), and I'm wondering what other people recommend.
Is one App better than another for setting up a store front? I'm really just looking to sell wooden bowls and spoons that I carve, because they are small and easy to ship. Any pros and cons(about the apps) people can give me, advice, etc. would be great.
Also, I'm a Linux user, so recommendations for a decent looking desktop app would be appreciated, as well. I've tried "Gossip", but I'm interested in seeing others that people like.

wtf
sounds like my previous company which had to replace "blacklist" and "whitelist" with "blocklist" and "allowlist" etc. else they would not be allowed to join a conference ...

The malicious compliance alternative: "blacklist" -> "bandstoplist" "whitelist" -> "bandpasslist"
reply
why would this be malicious compliance?
reply
It complies with the letter of their requirement (don't use racist terms, and bandpass/bandstop aren't racist), but in a way that is worse than what they wanted. And if they say "nobody knows those terms," you can say "a lot programmers still haven't heard of allowlist/blocklist, so it's a wash either way."

Good luck!
If you have a website its quite easy to integrate BTCpay server. You could also put up some limited edition bowls/spoons on raretoshi.
Don't have any advice for nostr sorry

Pixel bay is comparable to instagram. You can set up your own domain and stuff so when people search @undergotten or whatever, it goes to your pixel bay image site instead of instagram.
