I’m not on any paid relays but use Damus and Snort mostly, in addition to a personal one. And I’ve started following particular NIP05s, not really any relay-specific communities.
People probably don't know what to recommend just yet xD
The nostr.wine is a pretty nice addition to the standard offered by most apps. Their LN fee system is an interesting solution, and I suspect more relays like this will come.
Each extra relay adds redundancy protection of your data, as well as effects what you see and who you reach. Interesting relays => more interesting feed :)
that's not the discovery model that appeals to me. I already know many interesting people. I want to consume their creations. and what they consider share-worthy. And that's it.

why do you want more relays? thousands of events every minute aren't enough for you?
