Most of the time it doesn't. Like 98%. You'll be met with suspicious eyes, or nervous thoughts about their own ack of financial understanding. Or they'll think it's a scam. Or illegal. Or weird. Or untrue.
Very few people are in the position to properly appreciate and comprehend Bitcoin.
So.
Why do people keep trying to GO FULL ORANGE PILL on people who aren't ready?
More Bitociners need to hear this IMO.
You need to meet ppl where they are. Slowly begin to drop breadcrumbs. And teach Bitcoin by teaching about other stuff. The building blocks.
If they like geopolitics or travelling... have them watch District 9 and then drop some tid bits in about South Africa's history. And then segway into the African nations adoption Bitcoin after rejecting colonial currencies. Let them discover it. Just provide some breadcrumbs to follow.
Or about inflation and the housing market if this is where is a person's interests lie.
Extrapolate this as needed.
Shoving an Orange Bill to someone who doesn't comprehend the basics of the money system or the history of finance usually doesn't do much good.
But putting on a Bob Marley, or Dylan record and tlaking about the Vietname war and such will get a person further.
If you lead a person to come to some conclusions on their own... you have helped create a Bitcoiner forever. Hastily oRaNgE PiLl someone and it might not stick.
Teaching Bitcoin for me, is not about teaching Bitcoin most of the time.
