For my students, I go with Electrum Desktop Wallet, because although Electrum has quirks and pitfalls, under supervision these can be overcome, and leaves you with a more powerful tool compared to Sparrow.
What is this secret powerful functionality avail in Electrum but not in Sparrow?
Is this another way of saying "Electrum doesn't have any privacy features"? Seriously, is that the point? I guess that's a thing you could say -- with a bigger surface area, there's more room for things to go wrong. I've just not heard about any such problem w/ Sparrow, and certainly have not experienced it myself across many mixes.
True. Can't find any serious issues with lost coins on sparrow. I guess my answer is more about potential through user error or a bug given the complexity.
Something like Monero has these by default with much lower "surface area" for user error.

not losing you money by doing a coin join improperly
