We’ve just released a new podcast episode on Simplicity, a next-gen blockchain programming and specification language that Dr. Adam Back has referred to as potentially Bitcoin’s last soft fork.
Simplicity’s use of combinators and jets would enable popular covenants like OP_CHECKTEMPLATEVERIFY and SIGHASH_ANYPREVOUT with one soft fork.
In this podcast, Blockstream Research Core Tech engineer Christian Lewe explains what Simplicity is, draws parallels with Miniscript, how it will be first implemented on the Liquid Network, and why it’s something that Bitcoiners need to know about. 🎧 ⬇️
