Not sure, I also tried the old markup method but didn't work either

The old markup method also uses our image proxy. Can you share the link in a comment so we can test what's wrong?

Doesn't matter if it will render as broken image since it gets replaced with our image proxy link. We should be able to access the original URL anyway.

Was the image updated? I don't see a raw image link.

But may be related to the animation frame limit for GIFs.

bird removed it because it was broken
