Maybe not strictly this week, it's been work in progress for a couple of weeks, but it's a good time to update.
I bought a mini PC with a 1TB SDD card, installed Ubuntu 22.04, Bitcoin Core, Electrs and Tor. Successfully set up my Sparrow wallet to connect to the Electrs instance over SSL (on the LAN) over Tor from outside of the LAN.
Today I was looking for a service to detect changes to web pages and it occurred to me I didn't need to use a hosted one, I could just grab an open-source one from github and self-host it, with all the freedom that comes with it. I ended up installing ChangeDetection.io, setting it up to send me Telegram notifications and also exposing it over Tor.
The self-sovereignty journey continues.
