So we all (hopefully) know that Multisig is much better for protecting your bitcoin than single sig. But Multisig requires more. More keys, more seeds and more config data to be backed up. Specifically, the master public keys of ALL the keys in the quorum. This extra data might look something like this:
Another common security recommendation is to "stamp" your seed phrase into steel, titanium or some other metal that won't burn up when the Hyperbitcoinization apocalypse comes (or you know, if your house burns down and all that). This steel backup is most commonly done for singlesig setups, specifically the 12/24 words.
So, what are people, companies, the Bitcoin community in general to do with this substantial amount of extra Multisig configuration data when it comes to ensuring it's more resilient than the paper it's printed on? How do you "stamp" 3, 5 or potentially even more huge master public keys plus their associated master fingerprint and derivation path into steel??
Is everyone just assuming that because there are multiple copies of this information on paper that it's all cool Are there other solutions people have come up with? Are solutions even needed?
