I continue to be impressed with Bitcoiners who have many jobs. Founders at a company, partners at another, developing their own code, run a podcast, etc. The more I meet people in Bitcoin, the more I see this. The idea of 1 job is dying. You add value to whomever will pay for your time and will build with many logs in the fire.
The concept of job is changing, usually associated in the past centuries with the world blow
The paradigm is shifting to Lean organizations models, small communities/ organizations instead of massive businesses and corporates. If you have time, have a read about Reinventing Organizations.. It explain the evolutionary progress of theses "entities" and describe with details how the past brought us to this path. Really interesting... You'll recognise many flat-org businesses in this list.
We are de-contracting globalization for a more decentralized society... keep working!

I've noticed this too, but I tend to find it depressing rather than inspiring. I'm sure some versions are inspiring, where they're rising to meet demand of some kind that they're uniquely suited to supply or technology/markets have made them so efficient they have spare time. I tend to mostly see the version where there's a lack of direction, where they've over-consumed other people's creations/identities as vividly captured on social media and they aspire to be them all simultaneously. I suspect there's also a tendency to diversify because they feel the future is uncertain.
I personally wish the trend were heading the opposite direction. We'd make more progress that way.

Exactly what I was thinking. More jobs is not a good thing :). My thought also went to the families of those people. Either they are young and have not started one yet, or they have very understanding partners who pick up the slack or they neglect it. Sad

I would say if you have many streams of income, passive streams it is better than having jobs. With jobs if you don’t put the hours in you won’t get paid.
But if you build an app, a protocol, a website or a business and it generates income when you are not there, that is a way to still have time.
If you got many jobs you split yourself over many unrelated areas and you never focus.
It is very difficult to move forward if you do many unrelated things.
I’m trying to stop new initiatives and focus my energy on a few related topics. I’m trying to simplify my life. And with everything (new) I do I ask myself: how does this help ke get the other important things I’m doing done. If there is no link and it is a totally new thing, or totally new job, unrelated I try to stop it.
It is very hard to say No to new projects, new jobs and new people who all want a piece of your attention. Focussing your attention is key. Saying No to new jobs, things can help you.

What's depressing about it is the imbalance and asymmetry of value being paid to do these jobs. It's hard to earn bitcoin and it isn't worth much relative to the time spent earning it relative to fiat. This is going to change. The people in the 1 job model are going to be destroyed when their jobs pay fairly.

I agree 💯%
When I attended my first Bitcoin conference in '22, I was so inspired by all of the entrepreneurs presenting in the booths. I knew then that I wanted to find a way to add value to Bitcoiners in the real world.
That's why I started a business that allows me to do what I'm passionate about. I get the opportunity to serve the community that I'm a part of and earn bitcoin outside of my salary.
What started as a side hustle is turning into my main source income. Once this business is to a certain point I'll start something else up or add offerings.
So I'll be here, stacking these SATs and helping Bitcoiners get fit. ⚡💪🏽🦵🏽
