I thought this was a great interview covering:
  • Origin of the VLS project
  • Security architecture of various sized lightning nodes + signer
  • node implementation interoperability
  • key design decisions (rust, libraries, hardware portability)
  • concerns and data needs from the signer's perspective
Very informative and a cool project. It definitely takes enterprise (and personal) lightning node management to the next level.

One of the things I really like about VLS is it's directly addressing a real problem. Directly addressing real problems seems more rare than it should be.

Thanks! That's great to hear ☺️
Love what you're doing with Stacker News as well! Imo it's a much better model than legacy social media
PS really like the zap forwarding feature. Is that new?

We've had 100% forwarding for a year or so now. I'm currently working on a PR from @WeAreAllSatoshi that gives more fine grain control of forwards.
