mSats, or milliSatoshis, are a subunit of the Bitcoin (BTC) cryptocurrency. One Bitcoin is divisible into 100,000,000 Satoshis, named after Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. A milliSatoshi is one-thousandth of a Satoshi, so there are 100,000,000,000 mSats in a single Bitcoin.
The use of mSats and other smaller units is common in contexts where microtransactions are required or where precision in small quantities of Bitcoin is needed.
