I have entered some 3D sites using my VR headset. These sites use the WebXR api specified here: https://www.w3.org/TR/webxr/

WebXR is an API you can access via websites. When you put on your headset and enter a webxr website the experience becomes immersive.

But what if I could enter these websites with my nostr pubkey? What if I could enter these sites and pay sats and receive sats?

Nostr 3 D But here I want to talk to the nostr community.

Why does nostr only have to be 2d? We live in a 3 d world. More and more people have VR headsets.

So if I’m writing 2d text and putting it on a website (like Habla.news, like Nostr) why can’t I be in a 3 d environment? Wouldn’t that be awesome?

I don’t yet know a lot about the technical side of nostr with the BIPS and stuff.

Tools I have seen that tools like Unity to build 3d experiences in c# also support webxr. So it should be possible to create a 3 d experience and deploy it on a website by using Unity!

So here are my questions:

What is needed to use my nostr pubkey and nsec on a WebXR enabled website?

Is it difficult to create a javascript enabled webxr website where I just can enter with my nostr nsec and use my nostr?

And what is needed so I only can type a text on a 3D board in that website with my pubkey?

I imagine I can do everything on nostr in that immersive environment.

That is the first test I would want to do.

And then of course I’m in a 3d environment. Did not use any password, email and username. So appart from only writing text can I zap some sats to another user?

This is test 2. In test 2, two nostr pubkeys would enter and they should be able to zap sats.

It could be just a 3 d object in VR you interact with. By pressing a 3 d object and that means you zap some sats. A second nostr account could see my 3 d post and zap some sats in there.

I will keep looking for more demo sites built on WebXR. And maybe even create a test environment myself.

Are we only able to use nostr in 2 D or also in 3 D VR?

Finally: webXR also works in AR. Augmented Reality! You don’t have to enter an immersive VR world. You could put some 3 d objects on top of our own world and create a magic experience.

You could put a nostr post right on a main square in a city!!!!

Who is going to create that first nostr AR post???
