What bitcoin development (that's in the works) are you waiting for?
I'm interested to try out LN wallets like greenlight (green wallet) & Olympus (Zeus).

An app that ties together messaging, lightning transactions, lightning addresses (would be the username) and lightning to bitcoin swaps.

so basically nostr with splicing

You're one of the contributors to sn, so if you're saying its pretty much here this makes me happy.

My answer was a bit tongue-in-cheek but yes, sounds a lot like nostr with splicing instead of swaps

Tools (a lot of tools) that facilitate adoption. Lots of improvements and advancements in user-experience and convenience to use bitcoin and LN everywhere.
Basically, things that make bitcoin the best choice for what it was initially meant to do.

Entering VR or AR with a lightning wallet.

I had this idea some time ago, but don't trust myself to build a wallet secure enough to run on Windows (where a lot of VR happens). Honestly surprised Zebedee hasn't done something like this yet

@m00ninite I saw WebXR a 3D VR /AR framework. This seems to be a new standard. It works in some browsers.
You dont have to build on Windows. This VR happens in the browser.
You might need to use Webnl. Getalby browser is also using webnl.
I’m learning more about this but I’m not a javascript developer yet.
So I think the fastest approach to create a demo/proof of concept is in browser, via javascript and using webxr.
You need also to have a vr headset to test it.
Another route might be using Unity engine and deploying in Webxr. Unity uses c# to program in.
Unity has a fast development path.

Cisa, Coin join for opening and closing channels, Ark

Batch channel opens allow you to do a coinjoin-like tx when opening channels. BOS has a CLI tool for it.. I think it was 'bos opengroupchannel'.

Yes. There is even app for that. It’s called No Looking

Just Mass adoption! :))

Something that could be easily (and cheaply) used for OFFLINE Bitcoin Payment. Two devices that could do a transaction via Bluetooth (or NFC) and as soon as it gets to some sort of an online-node it could update the chain... Not sure if it's possible.
Also it needs to be very cheap to be used specially on poor countries. That's where Bitcoin has an easier chance for a fast growth rates.

Fedimint. And chaumian ecash being a given on any custodial service.
Unified onchain and LN QR codes and all wallets handling them seamlessly.

Don't know if it is in the works or not, but some sort of integration with AI, so you could pay with lightning for the use of ChatGPT and the likes. Also, if AI it self could have a wallet so it could spend BTC and do things on your behalf.
