For those that comply, apply Huxley. For those that don’t, apply Orwell.
Great heuristic on how the system will try to control you based on your inclination to obedience.
Bring it on Orwell, me and my community of misfits are getting stronger every day!

Do we really want to associate bitcoiners with this kind of content?

Thanks to the owners of this forum, but if it went down tomorrow all future content would be moved to nostr and will never be censored.

It's pretty clear they are trying to chase us away from our gathering places and place traps and snares in our path. I'm starting to get really ornery about all this. This is not the world I was born into. The children born since about 1990 are extremely feeble minded, unable to make decisions or judgements by themselves. They are teaching them to be sheep, like never before in history.
It's clearly correct what the article says. One of the funny things is that I've been saying to myself for years "I want to get rid of this phone"... nearly 20 years I have been living with this shit and hating it. I'm not just following along, I literally almost ditched my phone altogether but then I need it to organise a migration. So again it is active, but I'm now putting my phone inside a faraday cage at night. I can feel it fucking with my sleep.

I unironically use wifi calling and turn off the cell radio whenever I have wifi (2G only at home)
I was born after 1990 and while I do not have children yet, I intend to home-school them.
Education is the thing, no one can teach you how to learn except your parents or close family friends, government schools teach you to be a slave.
We are the remnant, the tyrants will fall.

Bitcoiners are necessarily freedom maximalists. And that especially includes freedom of speech.
reply
Oh he has freedom of speech to say that. And my freedom of speech lets me say he's deranged
reply
And my freedom of speech lets me say that calling someone insane only shows how brainwashed one is.
When my only social media is nostr and my nostr client respects my full control and serves me instead of idiot ideas like calling wanting to be healthy and free insane, well, I won't miss people like you. Nor you us, but hey what do I care?

I know... I saw a few episodes of Black Mirror the other day. What's funny is that I was reading stories like those in the early 80s at the library, and all the normies thought I was a freak. And now, even as it clearly provides an illustration of the consequences of many idiotic ideas like reputation scores and constant media capture and the alienation of simulation technology and immediately forget what they just saw and happily bend over and let Big Brother even as far as mandate injection of mysterious fluids with zero adequate medical tests being done, and insanity that would make Mengele and Goebbells proud.

Any doubt what the Apple logo is all about? “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Yeah, surely Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs were thinking about satan 40 years ago in their garage when creating their enterprise xDDD
Generally, the further in the article, the less reasonable it gets. 'The god is coming to help us' at the end is a cherry on top lol.

Of course, you have a better explanation for why the apple with a bite out of it, and the original rainbow over it that has no reference to the bible, don't you, come on, give it to us since you seem to know!
reply

Not that I need to provide any 'better' explanation (because its you who are challenging the null hypothesis, not me) but sure. Lets play that game. What about:
"No specific reason at all, they randomly thought of apple because it was laying on the table or something. They laughed, they liked it and they went with it".
I really recommend applying Hanlon's razor to not overthink things: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
(To be more serious though, the bite part is to make it look like apple, without the bite it can be confused with other fruits)

Apple, pear, plum, peach... I must be insane if I think that thing on the top left is an apple, right?
Asserting you are claiming to have superior knowledge in a sarcastic way has nothing to do with argumentation or fallacy. And your further remarks stating that the apple is not distinctive without the bite is absurd, and you know it.
I don't think Hanlon's razor is a good rule to live by, far more potent a logical razor is Occam's razor, which states that the simplest explanation is probably correct.
Hanlon was clearly a dupe. Attributing error to malice is a safer call in all cases. Better to avoid someone than risk them proving you wrong (about your suspicion).
As for the apple, the bite and the rainbow, the apple is called Malus, the acid in it is called malic acid, which is from the old latin which means "evil" and "small". It has a 5 pointed star, in section through the centre where the seeds are, and has been associated with the devil and the story in Genesis 3 for hundreds of years.
And maybe there is no irony in this at all, really, that the entire theme of that chapter is precisely deception, that is used to trick people into poisoning themselves.
I could talk about some other theories about the identity of that fruit, or the fact that the Pentateuch predates Judaism (it's derivative of Sumerian and Phonecian mythology). But I think it's enough to say that there is nothing innocent about the meaning of that logo. No different to the extensive set of set of symbols used by Google for their various logos that are taken straight out of babylonian, phonecian, sumerian and other mythologies that are associated with what the Jews, Muslims and Christians all associate with Satan, or if you prefer more original names, Chronus or Saturn depending on which side of the mediterranean we are talking.

It's like a case study in mental illness. Unfortunately, bitcoiners are deep in it, maybe necessarily -- the membrane between understanding the critical consequences of high-impact choices that nobody really notices (e.g., fiat), and a lunatic world where everyone is a criminal mastermind trying to control your dreams and enslave you, is thin and permeable.

Was thinking this but was also thinking why anyone needs to worry about association.
I have a hard time when conclusions beyond the observable are reached. Mass-formation-psychosis? But to rail against connecting dots or to rail against religion, from an a secular viewpoint is self-defeating when you are yourself amongst a minority group in the world.
It is hard to convince the convinced that all they need to do to guard their freedom and liberty is to follow the money.

I got a 5G phone last year and when I hold it near my, even when it has been idle for hours, how quickly it feels hot on my skin near it like it's radiating something. And the whole thing, especially the screen, gets so toasty so quickly.
Anyone who wants to put that thing near their gonads clearly has no intention of ever using them, cos I can't see how this radiation, which notably 20ghz literally ionises oxygen, could be good for DNA, at all.

Look at all these normalcy bias, mainstream faithfuls in this discussion thread.
They are so perverted they automatically think that "sleeping with" means sex. That's so mature. Do these people actually have a full 18 years behind them or are they 13 year olds with too much libido and zero skill in logic.
They think that we should accept the toxic elements of the technology's application with the few good utilities. No, I'm not accepting what I don't want, what is wrong with you???
This is the new normal I guess.

From living without a smartphone, to purifying my water, mending my clothes and shoes, making my own toiletries, getting rid of anything that is plastic, and learning how to cook on a campfire, nobody can say I’m slacking.
This reads like nonsense to me.
Might as well not use electricity or any other modern invention.
Just control your mind and don't get addicted to your phone.
A smartphone is still a really useful tool.
reply
I keep my tools in a toolbox, in a drawer. Not next to my reproductive system, I mean my pocket of course, but modern normie drones are so immature they talk like 12 year olds who just started their first period or ejaculation, nor would I let my tools tell me what to do, ever.
But if you like to obey stupid machines that's your larp to have.
To say that I should accept the invasion of my privacy, the constant gathering of intelligence about my movements, in exchange for a few small conveniences, I'd rather refresh my skills in reading paper maps and people can go fuck themselves if I'm tired, busy, or just because fuck you that's why.
I like electricity. I can fix any electrical system and even older style electronic devices. I don't like microwave radiation though, but I'm not some doofus who thinks all microwave frequencies are ionising, most of them aren't. But the bands used in 5G and Starlink do include the oxygen activating 20ghz band and the 80ghz "V band" which was previously only allowed to be used by military. These frequencies DO have effects on electron charges on some kinds of materials and cause health problems with long term exposure.

You can still use a smartphone without having all the negatives from Apple or Google.
For example, GrapheneOS with open source apps. You can set it up so that you have all the benefits of the modern world, but without the ads, feeds, etc. You keep full control of what you see on your phone. You control the phone, not the other way around like the norm these days.
Even better than a paper map because those usually come with ads anyway and are not as useful.

thanks for talking some rational sense into this thread, I just don't have the energy today. But I'm on the same general page you are, by the look of it.

Barely coherent rambling about a very weird conspiracy theory. Like, actually. Go out and touch grass.
Modern smartphones (and smartwatches) are “smart” enough to know when their human subjects are most suggestible and vulnerable. At that exact point, they can start emitting subliminal signals. Think of it as an evolution of Google ads but instead of showing up on your touchscreen they are broadcast inside your mind.
Some call it dream hacking.

Have you been keeping up to date with military funded research? You know the US navy made Tor, right?
One person invents a viable monetary system and everyone loses their mind. But no problem to build a tank with a radar emitter that causes a sensation like your skin is on fire, no problem. Or to force people to accept untested medical procedures to treat a disease that is less lethal than riding a bicycle.
