Slowly losing purchasing power isn't visible/painful enough yet, and therefore accepted. Once/if inflation accelerates, people become poor and start to look for alternatives. First the dollar, but if that one goes the same way, gold and bitcoin. If you don't, you're basically screwed.

They don't like it or don't need it.

Education or rather the lack of it, most people don't know how bitcoin works, how to use them etc.

Because, incredible as it may seem, millions of people don't know about BTC (fewer even know about Bitcoin Lightning ⚡).
