The link does actually recommend graphene (right at the end) but you don't need to be "technically savvy" to use it
there are some good tips but they're generally minor compared to the massive benefits you'd get from using graphene in combination with a vpn and a wifi hotspot.
plus stuff like ditching gmail, facebook, twitter app etc.
stock android is the worst, sure you can patch some holes but you're better off using apple, or ideally graphene (without a sim) for max privacy
same situation with windows - just switch to linux, it's much safer
I stopped using Linux when I got out of college.. I want to go back to it. It used to be fun
it's a lot of fun if you use qubes!
