this little post will be just a reminder for you to offer this service for your family qnd friends.
Let’s say you are a group going out for dinner and the outcome of it, apart all the great food, anarchist conversations about Bitcoin and few bubbles, will be a bill to pay. Now, assuming the restaurant does not accept Bitcoin, we have few options on the table:
  • everyone pay with card or cash his part (for the merchants is a pain, and if card is the option the fees will be much higher)
  • you take the lead and offer the participants to pay the entire bill in cash (or card) after everyone pay you in sats
It might sounds obvious to many of you, as has been done before. Anyway, I just writing it down as a reminder for the ones that continuously complain about not having merchants accepting Bitcoin.
The solution is just under your nose
Your opinion is highly appreciated
What a nice simple way to convert fiat for sats, if only you have people around you who are willing to part with their sats ;)
My favorite way to do this is to pay the bill with standard accepted methods and to let them decide how they want their tip. If they are willing then have them install Blink or whatever phone wallet you are using. I did this at a few places and suddenly the other wait staff wanted to server me at my next visit since they wanted some sats as well!

That’s cool! The tip usually goes directly to the labour force and it’s great you engage directly with them instead leaving for when paying at the counter. Thanks for sharing
