The history of Bitcoin has plenty of instances of so-called "dirty" bitcoins - stolen, hacked from exchanges or earned by doing shady business. My question is: have the mixing solutions advanced enough to wipe the history of any UTXO to the point where no bitcoin is different from another?
I don't know either. It has advanced for sure but I think Bitcoin fungibility is still not perfect. If you get a dirty coin, you may not be able to deposit it into a CEX. Some people say that just by using a mixer just marks you as suspicious even if you only want to protect your privacy. Some people say it is better to atomic swap to Monero and back. Or you could combine both. So I cannot totally answer your question but probably someone here will.
