I'm thinking about signing up for one of these platforms to build up a BTC "savings" account that I can transfer to cold storage whenever it gets to a certain amount. I've done some research on both of these platforms and they sound very similar.
Any thoughts from folks who've used both? Would love to get some firsthand insight on which one you ultimately prefer, thanks!
I would really like to see River set up auto-withdraw to an xpub.
Auto withdraw, at a user set threshold, using an xpub so every withdrawal uses a new address.
And on the flip side, I'd really like to see Swan fully embrace lightning.

The nice thing about River is that they have lightning. Maybe they'll have auto-withdraw lightning when bolt 12 is a thing.
I used to use Swan. Stopped because they went from Prime Trust to Prime Trust 2.0 (Fortress Trust) and they have terms of service I don't agree with (at least the last time I read them)

Swan probably has problems due to prime trust custodian. I'd chose river but I am not sure they have own infrastructure

They've always had their own bitcoin infrastructure afaik
