The RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and the Institute for Maritime Economics and Logistics (ISL) reported a slight drop in the Container Turnover Index in July to 121.9 points from the previous month's revised figure of 123.3 points. This indicates a halt in the global container turnover recovery, with all world regions affected. Notably, Chinese ports saw a minor decline, dropping from 139.4 to 137.3 points.
