Thought this might be interesting to anyone building on or using nostr.
Clearly two things stand out to the author: first it's a lot of bitcoiners and second they believe it's only about cloning Twitter.
The first is an interesting challenge, Bitcoin is the 'bootstrap' community -- but who could be next?
The second is perhaps related to the first. Many applications can be built on the protocol, but it's the Twitter experience that's become most synonymous.

For me the value Nostr brings is the minimalistic signed message format. That is all you need for reducing miss information and safe broadcast. In non-dystopic world standard relays can work as designed in heavy adversarial environments you can transport messages in almost any way (eg. Sending them via email) and preserve trust with metadata.

As @gsovereignty said in his recent pod, “nostr is the emergent property of Bitcoin”. It grasps the essence beautifully.
