What the bounty proposes is a really complex project, which justifies the now 10 BTC reward.
The primary problem is storage of the Git repos. There are a few options, two of which are promising: GitTorrent and sending Git data over Nostr (but not storing anythign on Nostr).
The secondary problem is determining authenticity. I will have to do some more thinking about this, but I suspect that something like what Linux distributions do might be relevant.

Bounties don't work for things like this. Even if it eventually gets claimed technically, I doubt it'll be something useable.

What do you mean "things like this"... I know github has plenty of functionalities. It will be interesting to see the basic git commands working

Once someone manages to build this, it'll be the greatest project on Nostr, I've seen public repos I followed being taken down and private instances throwing 404s as costs and interest faded.
Having an open source project survive it's author without having forks over forks is way too cool for me.
Imagine a future where Nostr is being built on Nostr 🚀

It will happen soon, let's keep brainstorming and get there as soon as possible

The ability to zap repos sounds cool. Even if it doesn’t use Nostr.

10 BTC reward and still not news? Damn.

Just wondering if there's any news on this project. I've seen things months ago but lost track. Any update?
