Well, that was a fun first NFL Sunday.

I was quite enjoying the slate of games, aside from the scare the Commanders gave some of us, up until I had to spend 3 plus hours watching the Giants get dismembered. Which was especially awful because I despise the Cowboys. Things are looking up though, I think tonight's game will be great.

Tomorrow I will pay out the bounty for the week 1 picks from this account and do the post for week 2 picks from the Survivor account.

Happy to talk football today as we have been doing on yesterday's post but it's also Meta Music Monday so please check out @public_N_M_E's post. He needs a distraction after the Vikings defeat yesterday.

The only thing that would have made it better is if the Cardinals had hung on and eliminated everyone who had the hubris to bet on the Commanders.

How could you doubt Sam Howell?

I can't believe that game was that close. I mean Commanders are not good but Zona is trying to be the worst team in the league.

I strongly considered a strategy of just betting against the Cardinals every week, for exactly that reason, but I just couldn't bring myself to put my fate in Washington's hands.

It's a decent strategy but they will probably win a few games this year. This week could be one with the way the Giants looked last night but maybe not. Taking Giants on a bounce back would but a balls of steel move.

I am leaning towards they aren't that bad. With the re-buy in my back pocket I might go with a Giants or Chargers bounce back week. I don't like the games this week. I don't really want to use the eagles, 49ers or bills yet.

Packers still own the Bears. I knew the Bears were bad, but I figured the Packers were also unproven(still are) and figured it would be way more competitive.
