It's always difficult to interprete chinese economic data points. But this one is easy: they are in trouble!
The Chinese central bank reduced the interest rates for 14-day reverse-repo transactions from 2.15% to 1.95% on Friday, injecting around €4.4 billion in liquidity. This follows the People's Bank of China's previous move of lowering reserve requirements for banks by 25 basis points on Thursday.
