Oporto is nice. They made outstanding changes in the last 25 years.. Also like Algarve, but for vacation only.. Since you are near, totally recommend lisbon for vacation..

I am travalling to Crete for about 20 years. Last time I was at that beach must have been 5 years ago. Since that time I got stuck with a little house in a village at the eastern southcoast. Funny the guy that brought the beer and stuff by boat because of the long walk. But it was worth any step on the rocks
