Its funny how bitcoin upgrades work, I remember when speedy trail for CTV was going around and people were like no CTV, covenants are going to create censorship and fragmentation on the network, and a threat to fungibility, and now that the idea has had time to cool down, we see more people open to it

Its as if you push a BIP you get backlash like with Drivechains now, but if you leave it people come around to it. Covenants definitely sound like it brings a lot more to the network, with Ark probably being the first L2 that would jump on it, but with non-interactive channels and all the cool things you can do with LN, I think this update has a lot going for it
