Yes I have also noticed it because I do regular oncain transactions so I check the fees almost everyday. I remember a few months ago, the explanation was that it's probably ordinals but september's high volume of uncofirmed transactions looked suspicious to me. I see that rarely anyone discuss the fees but it's something that bothers me a lot and often postpone transactions waiting for more "healthy" fees. I hope we will not see a new batch with hundrends of thousand of transactions soon.

Who could be in benefit of such scenario except miners?
