don't forget syncthing
Definitely saving this for later.
Right now my most used self hosted applications are Obsidian, Syncthing, Nextcloud, Wireguard, and Jellyfin
with regards to wireguard, a great plug and play solutions is use of a router by gl-inet (preinstalled wireguard sever) inside your existing router
Cool, I'll check it out!
I'm a huuuuge ZeroTier fan. Simplest VPN ever. You should check it out.
How (or why?) are you self-hosting Obsidian?
Instead of Obsidian Sync, I use Obsidian in conjunction with Syncthing. I guess that's like saying I self-host Microsoft Word instead of using Office 365 but I think it kind of counts 😅
Ok, got it! I use Obsidian exactly the same way - synced with syncthing. It works like magic including on mobile phone...
My favorite self hosted app is pi-hole.
Then I'm syncing my .md notes with syncthing across laptops and Android phone and reading/editing those with Obsidian... syncthing is magic.
