I would argue that, as long as the fight for a sound monetary base layer is ongoing, 100% are indeed shitcoins.
Once the fight for sound money has been won we can relax this filter, but until then, everything distracts focus from winning the race / fighting the war

Reminds me of Cory Klippsten's blog post: https://www.swanbitcoin.com/the-race-to-avoid-the-war/
Until the war against fiat is over, anyone shilling other cRypTos should be charged with treason.

War? It's a competition. Thinking that it's a war means thinking "it doesn't matter who is best, my side must win". But obviously the best tech should and will win. Competition begets quality. War begets zealotry.

"Winning the race" == competition Then I said "fighting the war" which will be the mode if we lose the competition
Regardless, I doubt the existing rulers of the fiat system will approach this from a merit / best tech basis. They have too much to loose. So war likely IMO as we have seen in many other countries busy subverting / banning BTC.

Ah ok I get you. Yeah when I consider the central banks, I definitely stop thinking about fair competition; those guys need to be taken down. I think I see what you mean now. Divided we fall, united we stand. Against the british, a united bitcoin will prevail.
