Curious why the dependency on Blockstream/esplora when mempool/mempool seems to have more adoption.
For an umbrel app of mutiny, would esplora also need to be packaged for umbrel?

That's what the mempool project uses as a backend API which they expose. They were using blockstream esplora until they forked it a few months ago. So yes, you may use mempool with the esplora backend or mempool esplora fork too.

You can use either, we use the mempool one in production.
For umbrel you don't need esplora

This is good. I just created wallet on mutiny. I even have it linked with primal. But there's one thing, preventing me from using mutiny, which is the amount of sats I need to first deposit. Can you please enlighten me on this and why it's like that.

When you receive on lightning it'll create a real lightning channel. You need to be able to pay for the fees of the channel

Okay thanks. But I am referring to the first deposit why is that 50k sats

Because it costs 10k sats to open the channel, so you need to receive enough to pay it and have some leftover

Incredible! I'm going to demo Mutiny Wallet at a local meetup. Having a self-host option is going to appease many of the criticisms I already see incoming...

With all workarounds like cloud storage and reverse proxies to reach the network from a browser, how do people not see how insane the mobile node idea is?
Just run a remote node ffs.

Great work!
Btw, "self-hosting" shouldn't even be a word. Wallet vs Account, would be better. You have an account with WoS, you have a Mutiny bitcoin wallet.
