I hope you were all regaled by the wonderful brand of baseball the Blue Jays play. If you watched or followed yesterday's playoff game against the Twins you didn't need to watch the 162 regular season games that preceded it. It was most certainly ground hog day. Fall behind early, run into outs on the base paths, get a bunch of traffic but don't get a timely hit, consistently have at bats where your best hitters don't swing at pitches down the middle but swing at pitches a foot outside. Hit a couple balls to the wall so the manager can say "we just missed a couple that would have changed the game". Play good defense, get good work from the bullpen and lose a game you could have won against an excellent starting pitcher that had his good, not great, stuff. This is the story of the 2023 Blue Jays against any decent team.
Anyways, the good news is the Jays and three other teams have at least one more chance today to not let their fan bases down. 4 errors from Tampa? 3 home runs off Corbin Burnes? Marlins getting dominated by Zach Wheeler (oh wait- not that one- that was inevitable).
Did you guys watch any games yesterday? Thoughts after day 1 of the playoffs. Are the Phillies going to be a real handful for the Braves?
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Braves are stacked. Phillies still need to get by the Marlins haha

tampa bay looked like they forgot how to play baseball. the brew crew looked good despite the loss to the d-bags. toronto currently holding on for dear life, and it's not looking promising. and no, i don't think the phillies are going to give atlanta much of a problem
