As I was having my breakfast and browsing daily news my attention was caught on a Instagram's reel from a page I follow, the description says:
#ArmitaGaravand, aged 16, was taken unconscious from the subway after being beaten by the Iranian Morality Police. According to witnesses, the Iranian agents did not like the way she was wearing her hijab over her hair. When she refused to fix it, she was beaten by the agents. She is in a coma in the hospital. [...]
As human being, it is disrespectful to not care somehow. We are living in an environment that does provide means to know about almost everything but at the same time discourage the tools that could provide us the means to act.
Bitcoin could change this since it does create a direct possibility of action. Not pushed by a governmental or coporates agendas but from individuals to individuals. We might have the opportunity to help someone somewhere else by the click of a button.
As I researched a way to help I end up finding this: https://iranhr.net/en/articles/6220/
But I'd still be helping an organization, a third party, that despite being serious about their cause, it does not satisfy my wish to direct help the victim (or at least their parents) and even if I could do international bank transfer to their accounts, my name would possibly end up in a Iran's black list or something like that. I'd fear for myself and especially my family.
I feel that I must end my rants here but the message will stay, hopefully somehow create incentives for more people to understand how could Bitcoin help in the battle against tyranny.

seriously??

my reaction exactly. i get that beating up a young girl over how she was wearing a hijab is a sick human rights violation, but how the fuck would you expect bitcoin to fix this lmao.
guess the iranian morality police should stack sats instead of beating on women! that'll get them to stop!

The least is help with medical bills, this can be escalated to finance protests.

How much you have donated ?

That's the point of the thread...
If the family of the girl had a wallet, I'd rush to donate, hopefully not only me but many others as well.

Yes, but there are specific themes that grab our interest.
I do help some local organizations (Fiat) but the whole point of the thread is about being able to provide direct financial support for people abroad without the need to reveal yourself.
