I can answer this since I've developed both android and ios apps:
iPhone users spend WAY more money on apps.
That's it. Why is that so? I don't know. But that's how it is. Why waste time building for a platform where users don't pay you?

Thank you for your genuine answer. Aside that reason, I think security wise has to be another reason.
