This is weak honestly. Positive rights do not exist. This is simply force being applied by the state to private businesses. The logic behind this would probably anger many here if applied to something you disagree with. If you really care about being able to repair and modify items you own you should vote with your sats. Buy products from companies that do this.
Most people do not care about this at all and honestly that's their choice. People want cheap, sexy, and fast tech. This is one reason companies don't make things repairable. When the state makes a decision to force everyone to do x they never think about the consequences. This will likely increase the cost of all electronics. Its easy to all for the hammer of the state when it is being applied to your pet thing but that's the point isn't it. That's why it has grown into the monster it is.

Thank god they finally passed this. To not have the right to repair is to not actually own your own property that was sold to you as your property.
